It’s the Shay Show!

In one of the most predictable outcomes so far this season, Shay Willock wins the December Player of the Month award. The striker bagged four goals in five appearances – finding the net on average every 86 minutes – including a brace in the Worcestershire Senior Cup as 10-man ‘Church came from two down to beat Stourbridge on penalties. Shay also netted in that shootout.

The big centre-forward also secures the Goal of the Month award; hardly surprising given his efforts accounted for three out of the four nominated strikes. Ultimately it was his second in the brilliant comeback versus the Glassboys that took the prize, when he capitalised on some great attacking pressure and nervy defending to fire low past the ‘keeper and send the tie to penalties.
